The Kississing Family
The Kississing Family brand started when Curt and Juanita Enns purchased Kississing Lake Lodge & Outposts from Curt’s parents back in 1990. Over the years, it has become a favorite destination for those in search of great fishing, friendly service and five star accommodations in the heart of the Canadian Shield.
In 2007, Wings Over Kississing was born, after the long-time owners of Jackson Air Services approached Curt and Juanita to see if they wanted to take over the air service in Flin Flon. Many of the attributes of the hospitality industry have been brought into the culture and attitude that sets Wings Over Kississing apart from similar operations in the air service industry.
In 2013 Bob Huitikka contacted Curt and Juanita to see if they would be interested in taking on yet another adventure in Canada’s north, by purchasing Tukto Lodge. It was important to Bob that his successors have the means, experience and knowhow to continue the Tukto legacy and the 2013 season was our first year operating Tukto Lodge.
Whether you’re indulging in our luxurious resort in northern Manitoba, spoiling yourself with an unforgettable trip to the Arctic, or soaring high above the tundra with us, you’ll receive the same 5-star service that we have built our reputation on. We are so excited to share this unique piece of paradise with you. Welcome to the Kississing Family!
An Experience Worthy of Your Bucket List
Tukto Lodge is situated on Mosquito Lake and Dubawnt Lake in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, both world-renowned locales for their arctic grayling and lake trout offerings. Once only known to the local Inuit and a handful of bush pilots, these lakes remain two of the most exclusive fishing destinations on the planet and are recognized by anglers around the globe as the Lake Trout Capital of the World. The Land of the Midnight sun is teeming with life and you will have the opportunity to see Arctic hares, wolves, grizzly bears, caribou and muskox. And many of our guests come from around the globe to see the phenomenon of the northern lights alone. This is a one-of-a-kind journey worthy of your bucket list!
